Peter Brötzmann, Caspar Brötzmann, Marino Pliakas, Mats Gustafsson, Jan St. Werner, Per Ake Holmlander, Christian Lillinger and Michael Wertmüller to perform at the Berlin Festival with a Difference: Three Nights of Music taking place 31.10.-2.11 2019.

Three Nights of Music

A number of different musicians are involved, including: Peter Brötzmann-reeds, Caspar Brötzmann-e-bass, Marino Pliakas e-bass, Mats Gustafsson-reeds, Jan St. Werner-electronics, Per-Ǻke Holmlander-tuba, cimbasso, Christian Lillinger-drums, Michael Wertmüller-drums and with no fixed ensemble from one night to the next, each performance shall be a surprise as to who takes to the stage.

“It’s been exactly 50 years ago that Jost Gebers and I set up the first ‘anti-festival’ in Berlin. Things have changed, in the meantime stages have opened, ‘solidarity’ has advanced to a foreign word. Nowadays stages are opened so wide that all that bloodless and sexless academic garbage can be taken in and reproduced endlessly.
