“It’s been exactly 50 years ago that Jost Gebers and I set up the first ‘anti-festival’ in Berlin. Things have changed, in the meantime stages have opened, ‘solidarity’ has advanced to a foreign word. Nowadays stages are opened so wide that all that bloodless and sexless academic garbage can be taken in and reproduced endlessly. To set an example – that’s what we are trying with these 3 NIGHTS OF MUSIC. To be not up to date in these times might not be such a wrong idea.” – Peter Brötzmann. 2 Oct 2019
